After an empty month of chocolate related holidays in April, May proves to have several potential cocoa related dates you may want to mark on your calendars, Sisters and Brothers.
First, the entire month is National Chocolate Custard Month. I want to know how to make chocolate custard so I'm asking for those of you who do know to share your recipes and I'll try a few out this month.
May 1st was National Chocolate Parfait Day which was also May Day. Widespread spring festival versus chocolate treat? I'm afraid the spring festivals probably won out but if you celebrated please let us know.
Don't forget that Sunday, May 9th, is Mother's Day this year in many parts of the world. We sent one of our mothers and a grandmother chocolate related gifts but for out other mother chocolate is sadly not allowed by her very mean doctors.
May 11th is National Eat What You Want Day -- not necessarily about chocolate but really what else would we eat here in The Chocolate Cult.
May 15th is National Chocolate Chip Day which is also Armed Forces Day here in the USA so how about making somethings with chocolate chips to share with people you know in the military?
Those are the chocolate related "holidays" official or fun that your Chocolate Priestess knows about. If you know of more, please drop me a note and let us all know.
Sisters and Brothers, may you, too, take the time to slowly appreciate what the Divine and human ingenuity have offered you in chocolate.
